Today, after my chiropractic appointment, I was almost standing straight - without severe pain. I smiled, he smiled, and I was able to walk to the car with my head held high.
Mind you, I'm not out of the woods yet. It's as though I am walking on a tightrope. I can continue to improve, or regress. Tomorrow, I'll likely feel the work and manipulation he did today.
So I must be careful, and tread carefully, moving slowly. I still have major restrictions (no lifting, no driving, no sudden movements, no sneezing or coughing). I still am limited in movement. I still feel pain if I twist the wrong way or reach too high, or don't sit right. I use meditation and breathing exercises to manage it now.
So today, I am smiling. There is definitely progress. And that, is very good news indeed.
